Cheryl Ann Travis (Landstrom)

After a lengthy and tough fight with cancer Cheryl Ann Travis (Landstrom) passed away Tuesday, June 21 with her family by her side. Cheryl was born in Dryden, ON August 19, 1949. For many years she loved to collect & refinish antiques and she was never afraid to give her opinion! Mostly, she will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family. She enjoyed researching all branches of the family tree. Her love for her children led her to pursue a career in teaching. She especially loved teaching, reading and playing with her treasured granddaughters Amy & Abby. Cheryl loved travelling around North America with her husband Daral which included visiting family, car shows and shopping. Cheryl is survived by her husband Daral (of 42 years), daughters Lee-ann (Jody) Wills, Kim (Dustyn), granddaughters Amy and Abby, her mother Norma Landstrom, brother Dennis Landstrom, Aunts Doreen Meadows and Wanda Phillips as well as numerous cousins. As per Cheryl’s wishes, in lieu of a formal funeral please join us for a gathering to share memories at the Travelodge Airlane on Saturday, June 25 @ 3 pm. Our family would like to thank the kind nurses and doctors of St. Joseph’s Hospice and The Regional Cancer Center as well as The VON. Should friends desire, instead of flowers, donations may be made to Northern Cancer Research Fund at the Health Sciences Foundation.
