All child care programs in Dryden may soon be carried out in area schools.
The Dryden Children’s Resource Centre has released a report citing an opportunity to relocate all existing programs into the schools.
Manager Vanessa Shepherd reports the province is pushing for the move with the introduction of the “Child Care Modernization Act”.
Shepherd says the Catholic and Public School Boards support the plan.
The Kenora District Services Board is also in discussions to help with the transition plan to the schools.
Numbers continue to drop at the Dryden Children’s Resource Centre and officials say the move makes sense.
