Red Lake Looking At Possibility Of An Events Centre

Red Lake is in the very early stages of examining the need for a community Events Centre.
Mayor Phil Vinet says it’s time to take a close look at the future of the Cochenour Arena.
Vinet says although the building is still structurally sound and safe, it is 54-years-old and requires a lot of attention.
He notes the project will require tremendous commitment from the provincial and federal governments as well as industry and the community.
Vinet says they have had preliminary talks on the idea and believes it will become a priority issue for the next Council.
