Child Care Deal Reaction

A new childcare agreement struck between Queen’s Park and Ottawa may
not benefit a majority of local families.
That fear from the Manager of the Children’s Resource Centre in
Dryden who is reacting to the $1.8-billion, 5-year deal.
Lynn Carlson says the money needs to be spent on upgrading Ontario’s
‘Best Start Strategy’.
Carlson stresses they need an affordable childcare system that can be
used by everyone.
Carlson all stakeholders need to have a say in the allocation of
funding.
