Its not known if, or when there will be a federal election, but at least two political parties in the Kenora Riding are ready to hit the campaign trail.
The New Democrats nominated Sioux Lookout resident Susan Barclay as their candidate.
Barclay ran in last June’s federal vote and says she wasn’t expecting she’d have to start campaigning less than a year after the last election.

Roger Valley is expected to get the Liberal nomination later thsi month.
