Children’s Aid Agency Merger Recommended

2-Northwestern Ontario Children’s Aid Agencies are looking at becoming one large body.
Kenora-Patricia Child and Family Services and Family and Children Services Rainy-River are seeking Provincial approval to merge effective April 1st, 2011.
Rainy-River Board Chair Bob McGreevy says the move is being prompted by funding challenges.
McGreevy admits there will be some staffing changes, but all of those details still have to be worked out.
He says the Province is supporting the concept in principal, but has asked for more information before giving its blessing to the merger.
