Chipping Site Approved 2

A 10-acre property between Airport Road and Barclay Hall Road will be
re-zoned to allow for a new chipping and wood handling site.
Council approved the move by a 5-1 margain in front of an over-flow
group of on-lookers at City Hall Tuesday night.
Gwen Keefe was in favour of the re-zoning bylaw.

Brian Collins voted against the bylaw as a symbolic gesture and he says
he has problems with the site staying open from 8pm until midnight.

Nearby residents voiced their opposition citing noise, environmental
and safety issues.
A group of supporters, including the Chamber of Commerce, staged a
late push for the project, stating it would help the local economy and
encourage others that Dryden is open for business.
