Sixteen northern communities and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union, have banded together in calling for the Province to host all-party committee hearing on the forest industry crisis.
Cec Makowski, Ontario Vice President of the CEPU, says such meetings need to be held here in the region and not at Queen’s Park. Markowski warns if the government continues to ignore the cry for help, stakeholders will draft a strategy the could be backed by militant action.
