Valley Goes to Pikangikum

The crisis situation on the Pikangikum First Nation has been in the national spotlight in recent weeks and Kenora MP Roger Valley says something needs to be done.

Valley travelled to the remote First Nations last week on a fact finding mission. He says the focus has been on the quality of the drinking water, but notes there are other issued that need attention.

Valley says he spoke with Indian Affairs Minister Jim Prentice about finding both short and long term solutions to Pikangikum’s many problems.
