Five Dryden based programs are poised to get funding from the Moffat Family Fund.
If approved by the Winnipeg-based Foundation, the Dryden Food Bank will come up as a big winner with $29,500.
The Food Bank currently provides services to 661-individuals, including 260-children.
The money will help purchase fresh milk and cheese products.
The Public School Board would receive $5,500 to support a project that looks at better utilizing school spaces for local residents, outside school hours.
Making Connections for Children and Youth is set to receive $10,000 to assist families with the cost of registration for sports, summer camps, children’s entertainment, dance, drama and other programs.
The Northwestern Health Unit would receive $10,000 to provide nutritious meal and snack programs for children and youth.
The Dryden Library has been tentatively approved for $5,000 for the development of French Language collections for children and youth.
