City endorses OPP #1

Kenora City Council has selected the Ontario Provincial

Police as the lone law force to service the municipality.

KPS Chief Dan Jorgenson says he’s not throwing in the

towel yet, noting the OPP bid still needs to go before the

Ontario Police Commission.

Kenora Police Service. Mayor Len Compton was the tie

breaker.

Meanwhile, OPP Staff Seargent Don Denver is reassuring

residents they won’t lose control over the police force.

The City or the Ontario Provincial Police will be filing
