The City of Dryden is hoping to take advantage of the new permanent Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund and Building Canada-Small Communities Fund.
The programs will flow $100-million and $272-million respectively to municipal infrastructure projects in Ontario.
Dryden plans to submit an application of $2-million for upgrades to Van Horne Avenue between Duke Street and Victoria Street.
The City also plans to apply for funding for two-thirds of the twinning of the raw water intake line from Wabigoon Lake to the water treatment plant.
The cost to the City would be $200,000 for the Van Horne upgrades.
The cost of the water intake line hasn’t been determined.
