City is Pleased With Emergency Efforts

Everyone involved in emergency efforts in Dryden is getting two thumbs up from the City’s Public Information Officer.
Kathy McMonagle says a number of partners came together quickly to help fire evacuees.
McMonagle says support from the community has been outstanding.
McMonagle says there is always room for improvement and they will review the situation once 20-evacuees from Koochiching First Nation return home.
That could come sometime in the next couple of days.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says he’s very happy that the City was able to provide shelter for our neighbours.
Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services Jim Bradley is thanking residents and volunteers for their hospitality noting that its heartening to know that Dryden is willing to step up and help.
