The Dryden Police Service is asking the City to amend the parking bylaw
to allow private parking lot owners to set their own rules.
Chief of Police Shayne MacKinnon says if the amendment is approved next
Monday, owners of private lots will have more of a say over who parks on
their property.

The bylaw change is also aimed at cracking down on illegal overnight
camping.
MacKinnon says it will be up to private parking lot owners whether they
decide to participate and the city will handle enforcement.
