The City of Dryden Council is putting together a committee to complete an OPP costing study.
Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard mentions the committee will be made up of the Police Chief, the Chief Administrative Officer, the Treasurer, three members of council, a police board member and a member of the public.
He says opinion from the police force and members of the public is what led them to this course of action.
Remillard says having all these voices at the table will make the process as smooth as possible, even though it will take at least a year to complete and could also take up to 18 months.
He goes on to say the study is to analyze the service at the end of the day and to be as effective as possible for the citizens of Dryden.
