As an insurance plan, the City of Dryden has purchased property
adjacent to the Wastewater Treatment facility at a price of just over
$100,000.
The investment puts the Municipality in a better position to upgrade
the Sewage Treatment Plant down the road.
City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says they are waiting to hear about
possible funding under a new Federal-Provincial-Municipal agreement.
A consultant’s report is calling for a new $20 million Plant
and Hoogenboom says construction won’t likely start for another 2-years.
He notes the 28,000 square foot property helps them keep
options open and costs down.
