School Board Wants Change in Special Ed Funds

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is calling on the Province
to take into consideration the Special Education challenges they face.
Superintendent of Education Jack McMaster says as the Government
drafts a long-term plan, it needs to seriously consider changing the
funding formula.
McMaster says they need the Province to act on both long and short term funding issues.
He says without stable funding they can’t commit to staffing and
Special Education programs.
McMaster wants to ensure that the necessary services are available to
all students.
