City Revamping Strategic Plan

Dryden’s new City Manager is revamping the City’s strategic plan.
Joe van Koeverden says the first task is looking at the entire operation and preparing for the 2012 budget.
He notes once they get that out of the way, they will have cleaned up some of their procedures and maybe realign some of their departments.
Van Koeverden says they can then on focus on a long-term plan for what the City might look like in the future.
He has summoned the Mayor, 2-Councilors, the Economic Development Manager and 3-City officials to sit on the Strategic Planning Working group.
He’s asking all City Departments to come up with a third quarter forecast to ensure the Municipality is on the right track financially.
Van Koeverden stresses input from the community will be essential.
