Environment Canada has confirmed that a tornado did touch down Tuesday afternoon north of the Dryden Airport and in Sioux Lookout.
The twister is the third reported one in Canada this year.
Spokesperson Geoff Coulson says officials will be in the area to survey the damage today. (Wednesday)
The length, width and strength of the twister is not known at this time.
No structural damage or injuries have been reported.
Tuesday’s storm also brought heavy rain in some communities.
Ear Falls received 52-millimetres in record time.
Kenora also dealt with flooding in some areas.
