Septic Field Replacements in Machin

The Kenora District Services Board is moving ahead with badly needed septic field replacements for two non-profit buildings in Machin.
The fields at the Eagle River Friendship Manor in Eagle River and Eagle View Terrace in Vermilion Bay are failing.
Tenders have come in well over budget but officials stress the project must be completed this year.
The KDSB is using Social Housing Renovation and Rejuvenation funding to finance 127-thousand dollars of the project.
Machin Non-Profit is expected to use reserves to fund the remaining 31-thousand.
The project also includes the installation of a new holding tank for the Municipality of Machin as the Town is utilizing the septic system of Eagle View Manor.
