Provincial consultations continue on proposed changes to the political boundaries in northern Ontario.
The government is looking at creating one or two new ridings and the Kenora-Rainy River District is impacted.
Public meetings are being held in Fort Hope, Fort Severn, Attawapiskat, Moose Cree and Fort Albany First Nation’s this week.
In a recent CKDR News Poll, 42-percent of respondents stated northwestern Ontario doesn’t need a change in ridings.
29-percent stated one a new riding was needed, while 29-percent called for two more political ridings.
