CKDR On The Road To Bring You High School Football Championship Game

The Dryden Eagles held their final practice Tuesday in advance of Wednesday’s Winnipeg High School Football championship.

The Eagles went through the paces and appear to be ready for their showdown with Portage Collegiate.

Defensive Coordinator Neil McLeod says Portage is big and fast.

He says they have a wonderful program that boasts three or players that are among the quickest in Manitoba.

McLeod says the defence will have to remain disciplined and not allow open lanes on the outside.

He also believes a quick start is critical to success.

The “prime time” match-up pits the top two teams in the Currie Division.

Dryden remains undefeated, while Portage has one loss.

The Eagles defeated Portage in Week #2 of the regular season 27-6.

Dryden is looking for their third WHSFL title.

Kick-off is 7:30 and for the first time ever CKDR will bring you live play-by-play starting at 7:15.
