The “DREAM” Will Stay Alive

The Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee still has its eye on the prize despite a small setback.

The DREAM nomination failed to crack the top 20 in the Aviva Community Fund on-line competition.

In an earlier interview with CKDR, team member Marnie Oliphant stressed they are still receiving great support from local residents.

Oliphant says ice users and members of the public are enthusiastic and optimistic about arena upgrade plans.

She says everyone knows the needs for a new look facility.

She stresses fundraising efforts and grant applications will continue.

Janice Radburn believes the Aviva competition helped raise more awareness of their goal, not only here at home, but across the country.

The first fundraising goal for arena upgrades is $500,000.
