Avoid a game of run-and-gun hockey!
That’s the key to success against the Minnesota Iron Rangers according to Derek Sweet-Coulter, the coach of the English River Miners.
The Best-of-5 opening round playoff series begins Wednesday at 7:00 in Ear Falls.
Sweet-Coulter says Minnesota is a team with a lot of speed who loves to trade chances and open the game up.
He stresses they have to protect the middle of the ice and play simple, disciplined hockey.
Derek Sweet-Coulter took time to talk to us about the first round playoff match-up and his first year coaching in the SIJHL.
