A solid ending to a career season has resulted in SIJHL Player of the Week honours for Nick Minerva of the Fort Frances Lakers.
The 20-year-old defenceman picked up 3-goals and 6-assists in the final three games of the regular season, leading his team to a trio of victories over English River.
Minerva topped all defenceman in offensive production this season with 21-goals and 53-assists.
The Lakers won a team single season franchise-best 46-games.
They enter the post-season winners of eight straight.
Reid Kilburn of the English River Miners and Matt Houston of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs also received consideration.
