Class Action Filed For Indian Hospital Patients

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Attorney General of Canada over the operation of Indian Hospitals.

The government operated 29 segregated facilities across Canada from 1945 to 1981.

The class action alleges that patients were left with severe physical, psychological and emotional injuries.

The suit is seeking a billion dollars in damages for negligence and breach of fiduciary duty and $100 million in punitive damages.
