Now Hiring: Dryden Warmth Project Coordinator
Part‑time • Two‑Year Term • Dryden, Ontario 18-20 hr/w. Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays. $28/hr
The Dryden Warmth Project is seeking a compassionate, community‑minded Coordinator to lead daily operations of our Drop‑In Space. This role creates a safe, welcoming, low‑barrier environment for individuals seeking warmth, connection, and basic supports.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Drop‑In operations and maintain a safe, respectful space
- Provide snacks, warm beverages, essential items, and referrals
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers
- Use trauma‑informed, calm, non‑judgmental approaches and de‑escalation
- Track supplies, maintain logs, and support basic reporting
- Build positive relationships with community partners
Qualifications
- Experience in community/social services, homelessness/harm reduction, or similar
- Strong communication and ability to work with diverse populations
- Experience supporting individuals facing economic sustainability challenges including homelessness, mental health and substance‑use barriers
- First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or De-escalation Training
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Efficiency using digital technology tools: computers, office admin software (Microsoft/Google), cyber security
- Empathy, patience, multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Strong organization and teamwork
- Ability to maintain boundaries and confidentiality
