Summer Reading Program Coordinator

The City of Dryden is currently recruiting a Summer Reading Program Coordinator. This job is a funded student employment position through the Government of Canada’s Young Canada Works Heritage Organizations (YCWHO) program.  Applicants must be full-time students between the ages of 16-30.

Reporting to the Library CEO, or designate, you will provide frontline customer service to library patrons and will regularly facilitate programming for children of all ages, including story hours, craft and science programs, and special events. Excellent communication, organization and conflict resolution skills are required. Experience working with the public or in a customer service setting are an asset.

Ideal candidates for this position will be highly motivated and creative, will thrive in a collaborative workplace, and will be comfortable working with children, families and the public. Previous experience working with and supervising children is an asset. The Summer Reading Program Coordinator will work thirty-five (35) hours per week, which will include some evening and weekend hours. The position will start Monday, May 4th, 2026 and end Friday August 21st , 2026.
