Clayton Weaver

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Clayton Weaver on November 1, 2005. Clayton was born in Dryden, Ontario on November 16, 1931 to Audrey and Aldred Weaver. On October 22, 1955 Clayton married the love of his life, Betty (Anderson) and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. Clayton worked for Hutchison Contracting then later for Avenor as a heavy equipment operator. He retired from the mill at the age of 65 where he then went to work for Carl Hutchison Contracting. Clayton loved his bowling and was still participating in the Monday morning and Tuesday evening league. He was the only original Legion player left on the team. Clayton loved to putter in his yard and enjoyed having the neighborhood kids come over to help and visit. Clayton is survived by his wife Betty, one daughter Susan and husband Greg and one son David and wife Sally. His pride and joy was his grandchildren, Marcie (Freeman) Falloon, Brittany and Brendin Swanson, Jarod and Connor Weaver and their 5 dogs. Clayton also leaves to mourn his sisters Hazel (Dan) Hutchison, Mildred (Bill) Berglund, sister-in-law Mildred Woodbeck and brother-in-law Marcel Laverdure along with many nieces and nephews. Clayton was predeceased by his parents Audrey and Aldred, mother-in-law Esther Anderson, sister-in-law Muriel Laverdure, brother-in-laws, Bob Hollstedt and Albert Woodbeck. A celebration of Clayton’s life was held on Friday, November 4th, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the First United Church with Rev. Mary Mennell officiating. Internment of ashes will take place at a later date.
