Clean Sweep For St. Joe’s In Badminton

Student athletes at St. Joseph’s School in Dryden cleaned up at the Annual All-Catholic Schools Intermediate Badminton championship in Kenora on Thursday.

In Mixed Doubles, Barett Edenburn and Kiera Rapini finished first for the Bulldogs.

Teegan Szachury-Sabko and Andrew Brandt won the Boys Doubles title, while Paityn Bobay and Taylor Matchett captured the Girls Doubles division.

Boys Doubles
1st place: Teegan Szachury – Sabko and Andrew Brandt from St. Joe School
2nd place: Isaiah Kakakepetum and Reese Ura from St. Thomas Aquinas High School

Girls Doubles
1st place: Paityn Bobay and Taylor Matchett from St Joe School
2nd place: Kailey Barnes and Chloe Navallee from Sacred Heart School

Mix Doubles
1st place: Barett Edenburn and Kiera Rapini from St. Joe School
2nd place: Ashton Lapworth and Presley Brohm from Sacred Heart
