The Progressive Conservative candidate for the new northern riding of Kiiwetinoong says he’s anxious to get down to business.
Lac Seul First Nation Chief Clifford Bull is the first confirmed candidate in the riding and says he brings a wealth of experience.
Bull says he’s happy and humbled to be asked to represent the party.
He notes there’s also a bit of anxiety, going into a whole new spectrum of politics.
Bull says many of his concerns for the north include getting communities off diesel and building roads to reach remote reserves.
He adds says they need to look at creating jobs and utilizing natural resources to repair crumbling infrastructure around the area.
Bull started in the political field in 2000 as a Councillor in Lac Seul and was elected Chief in 2006.
He also holds a number of political board of director positions.
