The Cloverbelt Local Food Co-operative in Dryden has been recognized by the provincial government.
Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says the Dryden organization has received the Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence.
Mauro says the group is meeting the demand for local food and produce as well as feeding the local economy.
He adds the Co-op bridges the gap between distance and population.
Along with the recognition, the Co-op also received $5,000 in funding.
