A late comeback bid fell short as the Dryden Ice Dogs dropped a 5-4 decision to Duluth on home ice Thursday night.
The Dogs trailed 5-2 when Ian Schachte and Diego Breckenridge scored late in the third.
Dryden almost tied the game in the final minute but was unable to beat Matt Arnold.
Dan Morin scored two goals in the first period.
Dryden outshot the Clydesdales 38-32.
In other SIJHL action, Wisconsin won its 21st consecutive game in a 5-2 victory over Fort Frances.
