Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
Grand Council Treaty Three says it has some concerns about this week’s summit in Ottawa between aboriginal leaders and the Federal Government.
Grand Chief Diane Kelly says she was impressed that Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his cabinet ministers spent the day at the meetings.
But she’s more concerned about how a Joint Action Plan reached between the Assembly of First Nation and the Government of Canada will affect them.
She says Treaty Three has its own traditions and customs which can better protect their Treaty harvesting areas.
