CN Rail says it plans to meet with residents concerned about its plans to construct a third line at its Fort Frances rail yard.
CN says it needs the line because of the increase in rail traffic through the area.
Spokesperson Jim Feeney says they are planning to add the line to help move rail cars around from trains heading across Canada and in and out of Minnesota.
Feeney says they have made contact with residents who’ve expressed concern and they plan to meet with them later this month.
Feeney notes they would like to have the line in place in the next several weeks.
