A Ministry of Energy study looking at keeping the Atikokan Coal Plant
open by burning an alternative fuel continues.
The Community is looking at various options including wood waste,
peat and Municipal waste.
The deadline for outside input is November 7th and Mayor Dennis Brown
says the feedback has been encouraging to date.
A consultant will be hired next month to review all of the options
for the station.
