COHA Takes Issue With Home Retrofit Plan

The head of the Canadian Oil and Heat Association isn’t impressed with the province’s $100 million energy savings program.

Ontario is offering financial incentives for homeowners who upgrade their gas furnaces and water heaters.

But President Steven Cook says there are a lot of people who live outside the natural gas corridor and won’t have access to that money.

He says the government needs to consider the interests of northern Ontario when determining eligibility rules.
