Four Dryden residents have been recognized by the Dryden Police Service.
Inspector Kevin Glenister says Ritchie Noel is one of the individuals who has received a Police Commendation.
Glenister says an impaired driver almost ran over a group of people in front of a downtown business.
Noel reached inside a vehicle and shut the vehicle off and held the driver until Police arrived.
Michelle May has been honoured for getting Neighbourhood Watch up and running again.
Glenister says May now has over 500 participants in the program.
Robert Button has been recognized for developing the Narcotics Abuse Task Force.
Glenister says with his assistance a dedicated group is now in place to address a local addiction problem.
Reagan Breeze has been honoured for his work during the forest fire evacuation.
Glenister says Breeze spent the entire evacuation acting as a liaison between evacuees, the City and emergency personnel.
