The Lake of the Woods Township will be staying in the federal riding of Thunder Bay-Rainy River.
Several concerns were brought forward at the Boundary Commission meeting in Kenora today, including the remoteness of Lake of the Woods, and travel concerns for constituents.
After hearing the concerns, Commission President George Valin says they will keep things the change and there will be no change in the Thunder Bay-Rainy River riding and the Kenora riding.
The proposed boundaries were based on the population increase in the 2011 census and the addition of 15 seats in Parliment for Ontario.
