The Path of the Paddle continues its work to establish a 900-kilometre water trail to the Trans Canada Trail.
The trail will stretch through the Kenora and Thunder Bay Districts from Pigeon Lake Provincial Park to Falcon Lake, Mantioba.
Project Manager Vicki Kurz says they have receieved an additional $68,000 from the province to continue their work.
The money will be used to complete the season two route investigation for the Maukinak Trail and Rushing River-Eagle Dogtooth Trail segments.
Path of the Paddle hopes to have the routes open by 2014.
