Dryden may have to consider issuing a complete outside water ban, however officials say that would be a last resort.
A filter has failed at the Water Treatment facility, putting an even greater strain on the plant.
The water restriction remains in place but the City is asking residents to try and conserve even more, including cutting back on such things as washing your vehicle.
Homeowners and Businesses with an odd number address can water on odd days and vice-versa.
Without the co-operation, the city may have to consider the complete ban.
Any violation of the water restriction can result in a $5,000 fine and a trip to Provincial court.
City officials stress the water is safe to drink.
