The owners of a Vermilion Bay taxidermy shop have been fined $1,000 after pleading guilty to certain violations.
Provincial Court was told that the Jakobs let their fur dealer’s license expire, even though they were reminded by MNR officials.
A search of the shop turned up numerous raw pelts without attached permits and licences.
The MNR says the offenses occured over the past 2 years.
Charges are pending against other individuals in connection with the case.
