Dryden Council is poised to financially support future community celebrations.
Council seems to be in favour of $5,000 each for an Arena Dance, Rockin’ the River, Children’s Street Fair and Oktoberfest.
The money is from so-called profits from Centennial celebrations last year.
$8,000 remains, raised by the Committee and but Council appears to agree that the money should go to Moosefest activities.
The Centennial Committee had recommended that money be spent on enhanced gateway signage, a Confederation College Bursary, the Vermilion Bay Cadets and an International Convention.
Staff had also mentioned seed money for the Dryden Centennial Running Club.
The final stamp of approval is expected next Monday.
