Confederation College will soon be offering a new course in its “Women in Skilled Trades” program.
The college has received 208 thousand dollars in funding from the Ministry of Colleges, Training and Universities to offer a pre-apprenticeship cooking program.
Don Bernovski is a spokesperson for Con College and says the program includes and eight week work placement.

The program will begin in April at the Kenora and Fort Frances campuses and includes 24 weeks of classroom instruction.
Bernovski says there’s still room for last minute applications.
