Concerned Resident Questioning Fire Delivery Review

The City of Dryden continues to face some backlash on its decision to review the current fire service delivery model.

Four options are on the table, with a final decision expected May 28th.

Concerned citizen Pam Miller is questioning Council’s motives.

Miller says why is the City recruiting new recruits, when they haven’t even made a decision on the future of the service.

Miller adds the community is just starting to see the light after years of financial difficulties and suggests any new model will cost us more.

She doesn’t believe there is anything wrong with the volunteer core they had before a dispute between the City and the Firefighters Association.

Miller was featured Sunday on Northwest Monitor.
