Winter highway maintenance in northwestern Ontario is back in the spotlight.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell says her office is again receiving complaints from motorists about conditions this winter.
In a statement at Queen’s Park, Campbell notes that two weeks after the last storm, parts of the Trans Canada were still layered with packed snow and glare ice.
Campbell says, to her, the clearing standards seem to mean little to the contractors assigned to keeping roads cleared.
