There appears to be a need to establish more skilled trades opportunities in northwestern Ontario.
That was one topic discussed during community consultations launched by Confederation College President Jim Madder.
Madder says he would love to see the expansion of various skills, especially in hand skills and the use of tools.
Madder believes there are partnership opportunities available, with the Public School Board expressing interest in skilled trades development.
He believes they can build on the skills trades field through dual-credit programming.
