Confederation College Promising To Work With International Students

The 700 International students at Confederation College remain on edge as the teachers strike is now into its second week.

College President Jim Madder is promising to help those students on a case by case basis, especially if they are forced to overstay their visa requirements.

Madder says he will work with Immigration Canada to ensure students from abroad finish their studies.

International students are bound by law to only work 20 hours a week while they attend school, something Madder insists, he can’t do anything about.

Madder says if the strike drags on too long, there is the potential to lose out in attracting International students in the future.
