The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and the Ministry of Education aren’t seeing eye-to-eye when it comes to graduation rates.
For the first time ever, the Ministry released grad rates for all school boards and it showed local grad rates were 68% after four years and 72% after five years.
Student Success Leader Scott Urquhart says they’ve been tracking grad rates for years and their own internal figures are about 10% higher.
Urquhart says their numbers show the graduation rate is 77% after four years and 82% after five years, which is much closer to the provincial average.
