The provincial election campaign will officially get underway next week and all three major political parties
in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding will have candidates in place.
Over the weekend, Kenora resident Penny Lucas won the Conservative Nomination.
Lucas believes this is a winnable riding for the Tories,
but says she’s not going to get into a mud-slinging contest with the other candidates.
N009 Q: …anyone. (05 secs.)
Lucas was the only person to submit nomination papers for the Conservatives.
She will face Mike Wood of the Liberals and N.D.P. leader
Howard Hampton.
Hampton is expected to win the New Democrats nomination
next weekend.
